It All Started with Good Parking Karma

The first thing I remember about when I started believing in this sense of the universe providing messages was when I was in my early 20's and I'd go to visit my mom. We'd usually drive out to the coast and on the way out she'd drive by Great Harvest Bread Company. If there was a parking spot open, we'd stop. If there wasn't, we didn't. It became a process I never questioned and just went along with. One of my own biggest life lessons has been to not force things that were not meant to happen. Only in hindsight was I able to recognize that, at least for myself, I'm much more insightful with other people.

Good parking karma has grown into good grocery store checkout line karma. If I'm not on a timeline, I always try to let someone with a few items go in front of me. It's like paying it forward, because later on when I'm in a hurry almost inevitably someone will do the same for me.

Now, just because the universe is signaling that now is not a good time to stop, sometimes I have to ignore it. But when I do I'm at least a bit prepared that it may not be the best experience, I'll end up in the slowest checkout line, behind a screaming child, behind someone who can't find their debit card. But I'm much less annoyed because in some ways I'm prepared for something to not go great. In the soulzingers categories, these are pebbles, opportunities to take advantage if I'm able to but not changing the course of my life if I don't.
